Attention Women Runners
Most of us juggle busy family lives, work commitments, social interests and
running. It's often difficult to find time to run, let alone find enough
time for training to improve our running performance or prepare for a race. Spending more time
running in order to run more kilometres or miles is not a feasible option.
Wouldn't you like to:
- Train more efficiently so that you can improve your running without having to spend more time than you currently have available?
- Practice optimal nutrition for performance and maintaining your ideal weight?
- Prevent, diagnose and treat injuries so that you can avoid frustrating layoffs that derail your progress?
I've Spent Years Helping Women Improve Their Running. I Can Help YOU Too!

Hi, I'm Bennett Cohen "The Savvy Runner", veteran runner and women's running coach.
I've been a runner for thirty-one years and have coached for the past eight, mostly with
Marathon Dynamics (a Toronto-based training organization). I keep well informed on current
research related to running and exercise physiology and how to easily apply it to enhance
training and racing.
Over the years,
I have been privileged to have helped hundreds of women runners of different
levels of ability and experience achieve their goals and get more benefit from running......
the
activity for which we have a shared passion.
Women's Running Update is my weekly online newsletter for smart women runners who want to
maximize the benefits they derive from running.
Every Wednesday, you'll receive coaching secrets, articles and practical tips that YOU can easily apply to run faster,
further and more consistently.
I incorporate the latest running-related research, debunking widely held myths that are
counterproductive to your running.
You will become more knowledgeable and better informed about:
- Training efficiently and effectively
- Health and nutrition
- Injury prevention and treatment
So that YOU are better prepared to achieve YOUR objectives for running,
training, racing and a healthy lifestyle.
Savvy Runner does the work of checking into the facts and the myths
about running and sets the story straight in a matter of fact yet
entertaining way. It's like having a chat with your own coach to get
grounded again - both timely and topical.

"Even though I've been a runner for over ten years, I always
learn something new from the Savvy Runner that I can apply
to help me improve my running. Bennett's articles about training,
nutrition and injury prevention are both informative and
entertaining, written with insight and humor. I look forward to
reading both his newsletter and special reports."

I have been enjoying Woman’s Running Update. In an effort to stay healthy, I have been
training for the upcoming Houston Marathon by running 3 to 4 days a week while cycling
or swimming the other 2 or 3 days. Your recent article on training by running fewer,
yet high quality miles gives me confirmation and confidence that I can be successful
with this revised schedule. We will know soon!

Women’s Running Update strikes a good balance between reporting on running related
research and the human side of running. Great work on the newsletter.
